Artist's Description

Erosion over the eons has cut and sliced these limestone deposits in Southwestern Ireland into pavement-like slabs and criss-crossing cracks known as grikes. This painting is an impression from the Burren National park in County Clare.

About John Farley

John Farley

After a career in marketing and sales in the hi-tech industries of Northern California, my long time avocation has become my occupation. My first enthusiasm for serious photography came on cruises to exotic locations courtesy of the US Navy. I bought my first Nikon in Yokosuka, Japan. Later, living in Northern California with all of its glorious natural beauty encouraged an interest in landscape photography and oil painting. I now concentrate on studio painting, mostly abstractions derived from my own photographs.
